Cambridge Funeral Services

Stuart at Cambridge Funerals takes pride in the quality of the service the firm  provides to the community.

We believe that a friendly and sincere approach is what people need when they are being looked after by a funeral director.  We are personally available by phone 24 hours a day, and are able to offer advice on the many aspects involved in arranging a funeral service.

It is important when arranging a funeral, that the family is offered the many choices available to them to personalise the service to suit their needs.  We offer a comprehensive range of caskets which give families an informed choice of style, colour, finish and cost.

Part of arranging a funeral service includes offering such services as catering, recording the service on tape or video, providing floral tributes, newspaper notices, service sheet (order of service) as well as advice on the venue for the service. We also arrange involvement of the R.S.A. if the deceased is a returned soldier.

Families frequently have their own ideas about the funeral service and we do our best to guide them in this direction. We recognise that good communication is the key to successful planning in this regard and putting in place exactly what the family wants.

It is important for the family to know early in the proceedings what the funeral is going to cost.  This may influence their choices during the arrangement interview and for this reason, we give a written estimate as to total costs at this time.

Cambridge Funerals can also arrange pre payment and pre planning for funerals. This can relieve the worry and stress that can otherwise be placed upon family members. Funds can be placed in trust for the sole purpose of covering funeral costs and can be done in conjunction with one of a number of different schemes currently operating. for example, the Catholic Development Fund, (no requirement to be a Catholic), or the Public Trust Office 'Pre-Paid Funeral Trust' and other organisations who offer investment schemes specifically in place  for this purpose.

An important part of this pre planning is to record family details required for the registration of a death.  This can be done on a form specifically designed by us for this purpose and should be held by a family member or the Executor.

We are able to offer professional advice on a confidential basis at no obligation regarding any of the above.  Please feel free to phone, email, or call in to see us personally.
