Owned and operated by a family with five generations of funeral experience providing funeral service in Auckland, Davis Funeral Services offers quality and expertise to its client families. Davis Funeral Services is a member of the Funeral Directors Association of New Zealand.
Davis Funeral Services has been owned by the Little family since 1950. Three family members hold positions in the company today - managing director Cedric Little, son Craig Little, and Cedric's brother Neil who act as assistants to the company manager Robert Russell. Today the three branches of Davis Funeral Services are operated by a staff which includes both male and female funeral directors and embalmers.
The long standing philosophy of Davis Funeral Services is to provide the utmost in funeral service excellence. It is important for families to be given the right of personal choice and decision-making to create a funeral service that is truly reflective of the deceased's life. Provided the requests are moral, ethical and legal, there are very few requests which are declined.
All services related to the funeral are provided by Davis Funeral Services' own staff at their own premises - with no aspects of the service sub-contracted to other individuals or companies. Davis Funeral Services has casket selection rooms available - providing the opportunity for families to choose a casket from the simplest form through to more elaborate styles depending on individual tastes and budgets.
Davis Funeral Services has three chapels and reception lounges, and also directs funerals at other venues such as churches, cemeteries, crematorium chapels, the family home, RSA or sports clubs.
Where the deceased's family has no church connection the question will arise as to who will officiate at the funeral service. This may be a family member of family friend. Alternatively, Davis Funeral Services staff are able to put you in touch with a funeral celebrant to officiate or a local minister if this is preferred.
