Gillions Funeral Services Ltd is an established and respected Dunedin Funeral Services provider that had its beginnings as far back at 1874 when operating under the name of C.J. Thorn Ltd in Caversham, Dunedin.
In 1966, Gillions Funeral Services Ltd brought and moved into the former South Dunedin Fire Station building at 407 Hillside Road, from where they operate today. They have been transformed into a convenient, spacious and friendly well-appointed funeral facility.

Allan Gillions, who returned to Dunedin after 17 years in Lower Hutt, has taken over the family business and leads a team of five staff, both male and female from widely diverse backgrounds.
"We cater for all denominations and accommodate all ethnic requirements" says Allan, "so we have had to develop a multi-skilled and professional approach towards satisfying client needs. Our team of people have the life skills and maturity to relate to all sections of the community in a caring and sensitive manner."
