Harvey Bowler Funeral Services was started in 1910 by the Harvey family as part of their joinery business. In 1974 it was purchased by Milton and Airini Bowler. Upon the Bowlers retirement, Michael and Liz Hill purchased the company. This has ensured a tradition of local and family ownership , so that Harvey Bowler¡¦s remains the premier Funeral Services provider in the Horowhenua, Otaki area.

We offer a full range of services:
-Care and responsibility for the deceased,
-Transportation
-Preservation
-Viewings at our chapels, your home , or on the marae
-Cultural awareness
Service Arrangements to meet your needs:
-Burials and Cremations (we own and operate The Horowhenua Crematorium.
-Services in your Church or one of our Chapels inLevin and Otaki graveside, at home or community hall services
-We liase with clergy and can recommend celebrants
-A full range of caskets (if we haven't got it, we will get it)
- Advertising the bereavement and assisting in arrangements to get those overseas home.
-Full catering service
-Quotations - the cost of a funeral varies and we will gladly provide you with costings.

Looking Ahead:
-Pre Arrangement. We can record your wishes for your funeral.
- Pre- Payment. We endorse and support the FDANZ Scheme.
This provides flexibility (transferable to other FDANZ members throughout NZ ) security (underwritten by Sovereign Insurance )and integrity (the return to the Estate of unused funds)
